Our correspondent recalls that a cholera outbreak had, in September, hit Magboro community in Obafemi-Owode LG recently, killing more than a dozen people.
Commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada riders and scavengers were said to be the worst hit by the outbreak.
Barely a week after, the disease spread to Sabo community in Abeokuta metropolis where 17 cases and one fatality were recorded.
The Chairman of Yewa North LG, Gabriel Ogunyomi, warned against unhygienic practices that may lead to the outbreak of an epidemic in the area.
