The Synod of All Nations Evangelism Ministries (ANEM) at the weekend asked Nigerian youths to resist any attempt to be used in damaging reputation via social media or physical attacks on citizens or political opponents during the electioneering period.
It also appealed to voters to allow their love for the country and not selfish interests to guide them in choosing good leaders.

The caution was contained in a communique signed and issued by Archbishop Yimam Orkwar, the Synod Chairman and President, Christian Association of Clergies in Nigeria, at the end of ANEM’s 3rd quarter Synod held at the church headquarters in Makurdi.
Orkwar, who read the communique on behalf of ANEM, called on politicians to ensure peaceful movements as they go about soliciting for votes from the electorates in the coming months.
He added that the church could not be overlooked in the assignment of electing new leaders for the country in 2023, explaining why last week’s meeting was held between the Northern Pentecostal Bishops Forum and APC presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
