The Christian charity body made the observation when a team of volunteer medical doctors, pharmacists and laboratory scientists were in Kaita to conduct a free medical service program from 22nd – 23rd of July 2010.

In June 2010, Operation Blessing, the humanitarian/development arm of the Christian Broadcasting Network, conducted a family assessment in the same community to familiarize the organization with the families and needs of the community.

Cases of Haematuria (condition of blood in urine) were prevalent among a vast majority of the community and a total of 825 people were attended to during the program which paid particular attention to this ailment. In addition to general health care, Operation Blessing also distributed free reading glasses to 43 patients with eye related problems.  

Head of Information of Operation Blessing, Mr Okey Owundiwe, told Sunday Trust that there cannot be any love greater than giving care to those who need it.
