The FCT Police Command has assured FCT residents that adequate security will be provided for them during the Christmas celebration.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Bala Ciroma, disclosed this in a statement yesterday in Abuja.
He said some security measures had been put in place which include; strategic deployment of both uniform and plain clothes police operatives on foot and vehicular patrols, activation of stop and search and continuous raid of black spots.
Ciroma urged FCT residents to report any suspicious movement or persons to the nearest police formation.
“At this juncture, I want to reassure FCT residents that the command has made adequate security deployment for the Christmas celebration.
“Some of the security measures put in place include: strategic deployment of both uniform and plain clothes police operatives on foot and vehicular patrols, activation of stop and search and continuous raid of black spots” he said.
