Church declares 7-day fast for Independence

It could be recalled that the church announced plans for this event during the August edition of the monthly Holy Ghost Night held at the Redemption Camp, Ogun State.The church stated that doing this would foster speedy healing of the country as the nation’s Independence Day celebrations were around the corner.

It instructed that all intending participants would not eat until 6:00pm daily.

Similarly, a call was made on those who are spiritually mature to avoid food day and night from September 29th till October 3rd, 2009, stressing that all those who would be part of the praying and fasting session should do it with all their might and spirit.

Between September 28th and 30th, Nigerians were advised to thank Almighty God for what He has been doing for the country while the prayer points on October 1st, that is the Independent Day will be used to beg for mercy and forgiveness for all blood that has been shed due to the Niger-Delta area crisis, religious factions and many political crises across the country, so that all evil done in the country would not have effect on the citizens.

Between October 2nd and 4th, Nigerians are enjoined to call upon God to rise and destroy all the enemies of the country within and outside.
