Civil servants urged to be committed to duties

The Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing (Works and Housing Sector), Engr Abubakar Magaji has called on public officers to embrace positive attitude towards duty as they serve as engine room of government in realizing meaningful development.
He made this known during a one-day sensitization programme by the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit of the ministry in collaboration with the Code of Conduct Bureau, with the theme “Code of Conduct for Public Officers and Practical Guide on the Completion of Form CCB1” in the ministry.
Magaji said that filling Asset Declaration Form is pertinent for every public officer to uphold personal integrity, morality as well as transparency.
He, therefore, called on all Public officers as required by law to complete this very important document.
He said, “There is the need to improve our conduct particularly in the areas of commitment to service which include punctuality, diligence, sacrifice and teamwork.”
