The Nigeria Civil Service Union has urged workers to be committed and support all actions deemed necessary by the Organised Labour to actualize the payment of the N30,000 new minimum wage to workers in Nigeria.

The union  gave this position in a communiqué issued at the end of  an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Abuja.

The union pledges its unflinching support and solidarity to the leadership of the Nigeria Civil Service Union as well as the Nigeria Labour Congress in the struggle to make a new minimum wage a reality.

“NEC-in-Session  dissolved the National Leadership of the Union led by Com. Kiri Moh’d Shuaibu,  invoke Rule 29 (d) of the Constitution of the Union to set up a Care taker Committee to oversee the  affairs of the Union. Hence NEC-in-Session unanimously constituted Seven-man committee as follows: Com. Amaechi, L. U.- chairman,  Com. Jubrin K. Bancir -member, Com. Oluwole A. Sunday -member, Com. Ibrahim A. Bawa -member,  Com. Ismail A. Galadi- member,  Com. Jerome C. A. Ilokwu-member and Com. Horsefall Peaceman members.”
