A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Law, Media and Social Justice Development Initiative (LMSJD), has conferred the Chief Judge (CJ) of the FCT High Court, Justice Ishaq Bello, with the Eminent Jurist award.
The event took place during a roundtable on “Reporting Court Proceedings by the Media: Uses, Abuse and Justice and Development in the FCT Judiciary”, organised last week by the LMSJD, in Abuja.
 Similarly, the Patron of Social Justice in Nigeria award was conferred on Professor Paul Idornigie (SAN) and the Patron of Media Lawyers in Nigeria award on Justice Joe K. Gadzama, SAN.
The event was attended by judges, stakeholders in the judiciary, president of the NUJ, its secretary and  the judiciary correspondents amongst others.
Professor Idornigie is the Head, Department of Commercial Law, Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) and Gadzama SAN is one of the leading aspirants for the forthcoming 2016 NBA presidential election.
