In a bold move to promote sustainable development and environmental innovation, Clean Earth Nexus, founded by environmental advocate Mr. Sunday Olaniyan, has launched a nationwide competition targeting students in Nigerian universities.

The initiative, in partnership with Osun State University Sustainable Development Solutions (UNIOSUN SDS), is set to spotlight youth-led solutions to the country’s pressing environmental challenges.

The competition, known as “The Campus Sustainability Challenge” and themed E² 2025, is designed to engage and empower students to propose innovative ideas that drive both energy growth and environmental progress. Participants are encouraged to present creative solutions in areas such as energy development, pollution reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainable practices that support a thriving and a healthy future

According to Mr. Olaniyan, the vision is to turn awareness into action: “Young people have the creativity and passion needed to transform Nigeria’s environmental future. This competition is a platform to amplify their voices and support the implementation of real solutions to real problems.”

Students from accredited tertiary institutions are encouraged to submit their proposals, with top finalists receiving cash awards, mentorship from sustainability experts, and the opportunity to present their ideas to leading investors and government stakeholders at a high-profile event.
