Pastor Emmanuel Tinuoye, the Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Kaduna Province II of the church, said at the province-based ministers conference in Kaduna that the world will not get things right except the pastors get them right with Godly character.

He said some pastors had failed the church in their conduct and way of life.

“A nation with people of strong positive character is an asset to its citizens because the standard of living will naturally be high.

“Whereas a nation that is low in character and trust is a liability to its citizens in the comity of nations.’’

Tinuoye said leadership bereft of positive character cannot influence real growth in an economy, church, organisation and home.

He observed that some pastors lacked trust, respect, responsibility and fairness.

“Your character speaks more than your messages. Contribute your Godly efforts to make your church and community a better place.”

The pastor said character will take over where reputation fails, adding: “reputation attracts people to your leadership style but character is what makes them remain with your leadership style”.

He urged pastors to imbibe and exhibit character that will lead people to Christ.

The pastor said the salvation of unsaved souls should be pastors’ priority, not miracle services as is the case now.

“Salvation brings permanent miracles like healing, breakthrough, employment and all good things of life,” he added. (NAN)
