Four persons, including a cleric and his wife, have been found guilty of selling the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) application documents above the prescribed price of N4,000 and sentenced to three years in prison each.

The Head, Public Affairs, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Dr Fabian Benjamin, said in a statement yesterday that the convicts, who were accredited agents of JAMB sales outlets, were arrested by the officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Nasarawa State.

The accused were convicted on Monday, January 27, 2020, by a Magistrate Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, where they had pleaded guilty to the offence, the statement said.

They are Mr. Ujaku Emem Samuel, who claimed to be a pastor and his wife, Mrs. Peace Emem Samuel, Mr. Opulani Joseph Sunupe and Mr. Umar Musa Sa’adu.
