Christian clerics in Anambra State have attributed the increase in involvement of students in all forms of exam malpractices to the support and cooperation they receive from both parents and teachers.
The clerics, who made the submission during a ‘Pastors, Parents and Teachers’ forum organised by the Scripture Union (Nigeria) in Nnewi, said the spate of exam ‘miracle centres’ across the country can be traced to the patronage they receive from parents.
One of them, Rev. Madu Godwin, said many parents have been forced to engage in such practices having abandoned the responsibility of training their wards for pursuit of money.
