The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Spikers bounced back with a dominant 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-16) win over Senegal’s Sococim (SOC) in the classification round of the 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship in Abuja.

The opening set saw Sococim put up a strong fight, but CNS held their composure in the final moments to edge it 25-23. The Nigerian side gained momentum in the second set, tightening their blocks and increasing service pressure to control the pace, eventually winning 25-18.

CNS remained in control in the third set, capitalizing on defensive errors from Sococim to close out the game 25-16. It was a clinical display of improved focus and tactical execution, especially after their previous loss.

Elsewhere, Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) booked a spot in the semifinals with a commanding 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-14) victory over Rwanda’s APR. Despite a close start, KPC’s precision attacks and effective blocks proved decisive.

Meanwhile, Rwanda’s Police Volleyball Club (PVC) defeated Cameroon’s Mayo Kani Evolution 3-1 (25-13, 23-25, 25-18, 25-23) to boost their classification ranking.

Club Féminin de Carthage (CFC) of Tunisia also advanced to the quarterfinals after sweeping Cameroon’s Litto Team Volleyball (LTV) 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-22) in a dominant showing.

Sixteen teams are participating in the championship, which runs from April 1 to 14 in Abuja. The tournament continues with more high-stakes matches as teams battle for continental glory.
