A seasoned football tactician, Coach Ibrahim Musa, has congratulated Ahmed Musa on his recent appointment as General Manager of Kano Pillars, saying the Super Eagles captain is round peg in a round hole.

Last week, Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, reconstituted the management board of the former NPFL champions and appointed the most capped Nigerian international, Ahmed Musa, as the new General Manager. In his reaction to the new development, the former Technical Adviser of Pillars FC, said the appointment of the former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow star is a befitting reward for his unwavering dedication and commitment to the success of the club.

He added that Musa is going to bring his wealth of experience as a widely travelled footballer and successful businessman to bear on Kano Pillars FC.

“The appointment of Ahmed Musa as Kano Pillars’ GM is well deserved. He is a round peg in a round hole. As a player and an ambassador, he has paid his dues and is deserving of the recognition from the government and people of Kano.

Musa, therefore, said following the appointment of the new General Manager and the confirmation of Ali Muhammad Umar popularly called “Ali Nayara” as chairman of the club, football fans would see a rejuvenated Kano Pillars FC in the 2025/2026 season.

“I am confident in the reconstituted management committee of the club. The decision to retain Ali Nayara as chairman is also commendable because he has demonstrated the capacity to lead.

“So we are going to have administrative competence and football experience at once. Together, they will surely restore Pillars’ invincibility,” he enthused.
