A nationwide coalition of grassroots support groups on Monday formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing the need for continuity in ongoing economic, security, and governance initiatives.

The announcement was made during a national press conference and prayer session held at the ASO Television Conference Hall, Katampe Hill, Abuja.

Speaking on behalf of the coalition, Prof. Ridwan Adeyemi, National Secretary, said the decision reflects the group’s assessment of the administration’s efforts to address unconventional security threats, improve governance, and implement economic reforms.

“Nigeria is undergoing a critical period of economic restructuring and institutional reform,” Adeyemi said. “The policies initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu require stability, continuity, and sustained leadership to deliver their full benefits to the Nigerian people.”

On security, Adeyemi acknowledged the persistent challenges of kidnapping and insurgency, describing them as part of an “unconventional war” against the nation. He said the current administration has adopted different approaches compared with previous governments and emphasized the need for collective public support and prayers.
