A statement by the coalition’s Coordinator, Abdullahi Ibrahim, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the move.
“We are confident that port operations and service delivery within the Nigerian Customs Service will significantly improve, ultimately boosting investor confidence, curbing economic sabotage, and enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global trade ecosystem.
“This singular decision by Mr. President is a clear demonstration of his unwavering commitment to sustaining the ongoing reforms within the Nigerian Customs Service reforms that have significantly contributed to the growth of our national revenue and the strengthening of institutional capacity.
He said under the leadership of Adeniyi, the Nigerian Customs Service has witnessed unprecedented progress in customs modernization, revenue generation, border security, and anti-smuggling operations.
