Coalition lauds Kebbi gov’s administration

The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations has commended the “exemplary” leadership Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State.

Kebbi State government over the release of N585 million as payment for tuition fees of 100 indigent students studying in various universities in India.

Briefing newsmen, the coalition’s National Coordinator, Amb Lukman Lawal, specifically applauded the governor’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to education, “as evident in the recent approval of ₦585.4 million for the tuition fees of 100 Kebbi students studying in India and local Students.”

This, Lawal said is a testament to the governor’s dedication to securing a brighter future for Kebbi state.

He said: “Among the 36 governors of Nigeria, Governor Nasir Idris has demonstrated exceptional leadership, prioritizing the welfare and development of Kebbi State’s citizens. His administration’s efforts to promote education, healthcare, and economic growth have not gone unnoticed.

“The establishment of the Kebbi State Commission for Persons Living with Disabilities is another notable achievement, showcasing the governor’s commitment to inclusivity and social justice. Furthermore, his administration’s support for healthcare initiatives has facilitated the scaling up of health indices in the state, providing affordable quality healthcare services to the people.

“We also acknowledge the governor’s initiatives in the areas of: Infrastructure development, including road construction and rehabilitation; Agriculture, through the provision of support to farmers and the establishment of irrigation schemes; and Youth empowerment, through training and employment programs.

“As civil society organizations, we recognize the significance of collaborative efforts between the government and stakeholders in driving positive change. We pledge to continue working with the governor’s administration to promote the welfare and development of Kebbi State’s citizens.

“Once again, we commend Governor Nasir Idris for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the people of Kebbi State. We look forward to continued collaboration and progress under his administration.”
