Coalitions task FG on insecurity

A coalition of northern and southern youth groups have urged the federal government to redouble its efforts to end kidnapping and other criminalities by deploying alternative mechanisms like community policing and use of traditional rulers.

This was contained in the communiqué of its 3rd joint session meeting signed by the leaders of the coalition of Assembly of Southern Youth Nigeria (ASYN), Victor Udoh and Northern Women Assembly of Nigeria (NWAN), Maiwade Abubakar Jemilu respectively.

Other groups present at the session included the Northern Nigeria Youth Assembly (NNYA) and Arewa Youth Council (AYC).

The communiqué also suggested a permanent end to farmers/herders conflicts through the alternative dispute resolution method.
