The weeklong event which was rounded off last Sunday with church service in the church’s auditorium witnessed educational and spiritual rejuvenation of the COCCIN youth.

There were biblical teachings, drama, musical concert, film show among other interesting activities.  The youth musical unit ministered different soul and heart touching gospel songs to the delight of members and visitors.

Speaking at the Sunday service, the pastor in-charge, Reverend James Dogara told the congregation that God has a purpose for everything. He frowned at believers who are not living according to the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“We as Christians have a role to play in the society. We are to serve as role models, doing what is right in the sight of God and if we do that we shall see the blessings of God in the land,” the cleric stated.

The guest speaker on the occasion, Evangelist Bimas Pandir spoke on the need to be Godly, pure and righteous both from in the inside and the outside.

He gave example of a package looking attractive from the outside but actually rotten inside, stressing that sadly, the is what a lot of people who claim to be children of God are.

He noted, “Some of us claim to be well situated or well packaged from the surface but the real thing that is required which is in the heart is already contaminated. God cannot be mocked or deceived. He sees us from the innermost. He knows what is in our hearts.”

He said it is important as Christians to know and accept where contamination has occurred in our lives and seek God for redress.

“He is always there to purify us and make us clean and holy by His grace which is sufficient for his children,” he concluded.

The Youth Fellowship leader, Mr Daniel Dajan appealed to youths who are not actively involved in the group’s activities to make effort to join them.
