College of Education Azare in Bauchi State has established Early Childhood Education Care Centre (ECECC).
The centre is ‎part of a plan by the National Commission of Colleges of Education (NCCE) for sustainable development of teacher training institutions in the country. A statement from the college signed by its Public Relations Officer (PRO),  Alhaji Suleiman Shehu, said the state Government College in collaboration with TETFUND has constructed a modern ECECC at College of Education Azare.
It said the centre will serve as a practicum (or laboratory) for the ECCE-NCE students on pupils between the ages of few months and five years that require special attention.
“The centre is aimed at promoting the enrolment of pupils within the said age bracket and also offers the opportunity of training the required specialized student-teachers in the ECCE program. It was also an essential part for the accreditation of ECCE courses and the College in line with NCCE requirements.”
