The creator of the African Climate Stories Project, Nina Mbah, has said the first cohort of 23 fellows of the project will bridge the climate action gap in Africa through multimedia storytelling.
Mbah said the project, which is an online platform aimed at creating a community of multimedia climate storytellers to drive climate action and environmental solutions in Africa, would spur the needed attention on issues of climate change.
She said the flagship programme, which was launched with a cohort of 23 fellows in Nigeria, embarked on a mission to inspire climate action and drive environmental solutions across the African continent, and create narratives that drive environmental and climate action in their respective communities.
Nina said: “Throughout the fellowship programme, these aspiring climate change champions underwent intensive training, honing their skills in multimedia storytelling and deepening their understanding of environmental challenges locally and globally.
