College honours Rochas, Nakande on peace building

The Green College, Jos has honoured Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, former minister of Information and Communication, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki Salihu Nakande, Commander, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) Major General Rogers Ibe Nicholas and Hajiya Khadijah Kassim for their passion in promoting education and sustaining national unity, peace and harmony in Plateau State.

Others that were also honoured during the Speech and Prize Giving Day organised by the college at SSANU Hall, University of Jos included Plateau State Director, DSS, Iro Abdullahi Danmusa for his contributions towards national strategy for peace; Prof Warisu Ayosheni Ali, Director, Consumer Protection, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Zainab Mu’azu a 14-year-old entrepreneur.

The Chairman of Assabiqoon Investment Ltd, who is the proprietor of the college, said Governor Okorocha was honored for his relentless effort in nation building and sustaining peace; Kassim, for promoting girl-child education; and Nakande for setting up of Unity FM that has contributed immensely in the peace efforts in the state.
