The Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators (APNM) is set to hold a colloquium in honour of late law academic, Professor Kevin Nwosu, on August 17.
The colloquium is expected to hold in Abuja with the theme ‘Kevin Ndubuisi Nwosu 1966-2015: A Quintessential ADR Practitioner’.
A statement by the chairperson of the board, Mrs Zainab Ibrahim Bio and member, Dr Dorn C. Enamhe explained that the event will also serve as a get-together for members of the association.
Prof. Nwosu, who died on August 17, 2015 aged 49, was the Director of Academics of the Nigerian Law School, Abuja.
Besides his role in the development of the curriculum for negotiation, mediation and conciliation at the school, he also anchored training programmes for various professionals in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) through the ‘Settlement House’.
He was also the founder of the ‘SMA Belgore Model of Criminal Justice Reform’ and innovative case-by-case fast-track, non-custodial criminal justice system with heavy emphasis on technology and community intelligence.
He hailed from Ezekwemba village, Eziama Obaire, Nkwerre LGA of Imo State.
