Chairman of the Commission, Most Rev. Nicholas D. Okoh, made the request when they paid a courtesy visit to the embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel.
It was during the visit of the members of NCPC Board as well as state chairmen and secretaries of state Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards who were in Israel on their annual preparatory visit.
According to a statement from the commission in Abuja, Okoh thanked the Nigerian ambassador in Israel for the good work he has been doing.
 While reminding the envoy of the Commission’s readiness for the Family Pilgrimage in July and the main Pilgrimage towards the end of the year, he said the Commission will his cooperation and the rest of the staff of the embassy to make this year’s Pilgrimage a huge success.
Executive Secretary of the Commission, Mr John Kennedy Opara hinted the ambassador that the members of NCPC Board and others were in the embassy to thank him for the way he has stabilized pilgrimage operations.
Nigeria Ambassador to Israel, Mr. David Obasa, described pilgrimage as a very important spiritual exercise and urged every Christian to aspire to perform the exercise considering the spiritual benefits.
