The Director-General of the National Commission of Museum and Monuments (NCMM) Malam Yusuf Abdallah Usman has promised to make thenational museums in Nigeria education resource centres.

Usman stated this while receiving an honour as a Fellow of the

Institute of Tourism Profession (ITP) in his office recently.

He said with over 48 national museums, 67 nationalmonuments and withover 100,000 artefacts from various cultures in Nigeria, they would be refocused as tourist attractions andalso as education resource centres.

According to him, the commission would ensure museums become very important places that students visit at various stages of their education.
