Kaduna State Peace Commission has vowed to end killings in the southern part of the state as it identified ethnic profiling and stereotyping as major threats to peace.
Chairman of the commission, Most Reverend Josiah Idowu Fearon, who stated this at a news briefing said the commission was working with people at the grassroots to promote peace.

He urged leaders at all levels to enlighten their subjects that criminality has no ethnicity, religion or place of origin, adding that, “we all need to cooperate with one another to end this ugly development in our state and nation.”
The chairman said he was happy with the progress made in de-escalating violence in all parts of the state, adding that major cities of Kaduna, Zaria and Kafanchan have not witnessed violent conflict throughout the year.
