Nasarawa state Commissioner for Special Education, Science and Technology Professor Jonathan Ayuba, has introduced free lunch to staff of the ministry to boost their morale.
The Commissioner who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Lafia, said that the free lunch to all the staff in the ministry will be for three days in a week.
He explained that the aim was to create an enabling working environment to the staff by improving the facilities in the ministry and improve working relation among the staff.
Professor Ayuba said, “The idea behind the lunch is to create a family in the ministry and provide an avenue for interaction among all staff irrespective of our status.
We are using the lunch period to rope minds beyond officials matters because myself, permanent secretary, directors, cleaners, drivers among other staff all eat together and interact freely.”
“If the working environment is conducive for the staff and the relationship is cordial, there would be improvement in productivity which has work for us in the ministry,” he added.
He noted that the ministry has also renovated and improved facilities in most of the offices to make coming to work exciting.
