Barrister Edward Naroka Dauda, the vice chairman of the committee, gave the warning during an orientation programme.
He said that the committee rated the student’s decency at 70% due to the awareness created by the committee, adding that the criterion for rating was not limited to dressing but also extended to behaviour, conduct, appearance, among several other considerations.
He said that dressing decently was a prequisite for attending lectures, tutorials, seminars, conferences, examinations and other events in the campus.
Dauda said that the committee was planning to carry out rallies, orientation and campaigns for the new students in order to inform and educate students to inculcate decent conduct on campus and outside.
“These activities will go a long way in maintaining the momentum for decency in the institution. Our joy is for them to have a change of character and behavior because the polytechnic is a micro picture of the larger society.”
He advised the youths to be of decent conduct, saying that no religion permitted indecent behaviours and dressing.
