Communities, numbering about 30 in Dassun Ward, Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State, have appealed to the government and individuals to assist in completing their abandoned Primary Health Care Centre in Yeti community to ensure easy access to primary healthcare services in the area.
Daily Trust on Sunday gathered the uncompleted comprehensive primary healthcare centre was almost at the completion stage when it was abandoned by the immediate past administration in the state.
The PHC with 25-bed capacity if completed would serve about 30 communities in the area.
A resident of the area, Abubakar Mohammed Dakpanchi, said the whole of Dassun Ward has no functional PHC.
He said residents of communities in the area travel over 60km even in emergencies to access primary health care services.
