Giginyu community vigilante group has promised to empower over 50 drug addicts that have denounced the habit of drug abuse.
Speaking to the repented addicts, the Commandant of Giginyu vigilante group, Alhaji Ibrahim Garga, said it was indeed good news for the group to record such a giant success to have over 50 drug addicts repented at once.
Garga assured that the vigilante group had taken measures of effective integration of the repented addicts by engaging them into various trades.
“We have taken their details, those that wanted to have jobs we will try to secure jobs for them and those that needs capital to establish their business, we will as well try to provide for them with take-off capital. This will enable them get back into the community without much label,” he said.
The ward head of Giginyu, Alhaji Gambo Lawan commended the commandant of the vigilante group, noting that the gesture was worth emulating by well-meaning community members.
He urged the repented addicts not to go back to the ugly trend of drug abuse for their safety and that of the community they reside.
