Concern over absence of Kebbi APC deputy guber candidate

Deputy Director General Kebbi PDP Governorship Campaign Organisation, Alhaji Abdullahi Yalwa challenged APC to disclose the whereabouts of its deputy governorship candidate insisting that Yombe  “disappeared” since the APC kicked-off its campaign in the state.
“He has not been seen around Kebbi since this politics started, they have never featured his picture on their posters and we believe there is something diabolical about hiding him.
“We went to Zuru his hometown in Kebbi South senatorial zone, we didn’t see a single poster bearing APC governorship running mate’s name and many don’t know his whereabouts. The question we ask now is, why are they hiding him?
“APC gave the deputy governorship position to Zuru people, PDP and the people of the state have the right to know his whereabouts because we cannot go into an election with a ghost running mate,” he said.
He added that Yombe’s ‘disappearance’ has been a source of apprehension even within the APC.
The PDP chieftain also said his party has instructed its lawyers to look at the legal implication of the ‘disappearance’ of the APC governorship running mate with a view to taking legal action because, according to him,” Yombe must be part of the political and electoral process of the general election.”
APC Kebbi South senatorial candidate, Barrister Bala Ibn Na’Allah when contacted said he cannot comprehend why it should be the business of the PDP to look for the whereabouts of APC governorship running mate.
“They should pre-occupy themselves with addressing the grievances of Kebbi people from the gross misconduct of the state in the last eight years under its inept, corrupt and questionable leadership,” he said explaining that Yombe took excuse from the governorship candidate and the party to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) few days ago.
