The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has said that concrete technology is an innovation by the present administration aimed at solving the problem of road failure.
The minister, during a visit to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, said the use of concrete technology on Nigerian roads had become necessary in view of the peculiarity of the soil texture of parts of the country.
Umahi, in a statement by his media aide, Orji Uchenna Orji, said concrete pavement had been proven to have advantages of energy efficiency, low maintenance and durability, as well as being a good insulator and a choice in regulating temperature in both hot and cold environments.
