Confab announces replacement for AIG Misau, Emma Shehu

An announcement contained in the conference order paper yesterday said retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Baba Ahmed would replace the late Hamma Misau who died last month under the platform of the Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria (ARPON).
Also, Sidi Hamid Ali would replace Dr Emma Shehu, from the North West zone. Of the 492 delegates to the conference, Shehu is the only delegate who rejected his nomination.
Shehu, a director of International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) Abuja, was nominated under the platform of civil society organizations.
There is no replacement yet for Dr Muhammed Abubakar Jumare, a delegate under the platform of elder statesmen, who died on May 5.
