Okon spoke with NAN on Thursday shortly after the team’s training session at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, the venue of the match.
He said that with God on their sides, they were sure of victory against their opponent, saying Nigerians should expect “total victory on Saturday”.
‘’God has spoken that victory is our own; Congo will not be a blockade to us.
‘’My father is the God that has spoken that victory belongs to you and me that are Nigerians and not to the Congolese.’’
Coach Okon expressed satisfaction at the level of his team’s preparedness, saying all technical faults had been fine-tuned for a good outing on Saturday and also in the return leg.
While commending the NFF and the Ogun Government for their support, he described the support extended to the team as ’’marvelous’’.
NAN reports that the return leg is billed for a fortnight with the winner of the two legged encounter representing Africa at the 2012 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Japan in August. (NAN)
