This was as the youths urged the President to consider Rochas Okorocha as the head of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).
At a press briefing in Abuja, the President South-East Development Youth Stakeholders Forum, John Onyewuchi Uba, said Okorocha stands tall among leaders from the zone who should head the organisation for the betterment of people in the South East.
He highlighted that with the emergence of the current dispensation under the leadership of President Tinubu, lost glory of the region is on its way back.
“You will agree with me the capabilities without strategy are nearly as meaningless as strategy without capabilities In Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha we found a man with with sound political and economy strategy thinking and actions.
“We strongly believe that the South East Development Commission should be led by someone with relevant expertise and experience, like Rochas Okorocha especially in such a critical area,” Onyewuchi stated.
The group expressed hope that the president would align the appointment with his administration’s goals for national progress and inclusivity.
They also commended Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for his efforts and exemplified leadership style.
