The late Fadahunsi is described as one of Nigeria’s finest professionals in housing and urban development.
He was pioneer chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and Fellow of Institute of Civil Engineers, Great Britain.
Professor Dupe Olatunbosun, a recipient of Nigeria’s National Award of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) in 2007 told journalists at the weekend, “He was an apt educationist, activist, nationalist and unifier who died serving the country in several dimensions.
“He was one of the very best individuals of excellent and humane character in human history and a wonderful gift to the Fadahunsi Dynasty of Ilesha.”
Barrister Festus Adebayo, Managing Director of FESADEB Communications Limited who represented housing and construction experts in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during condolence visit to the deceased family described the late elder statesman as a thoroughbred technocrat who believed in professionalism, justice and fair play, pointing out that the late Fadahunsi will be greatly missed by the housing industry.
Fadahunsi who died a fortnight ago will be laid to rest on Saturday in his hometown, Ilesha, Osun State.
