Construction of 18km Girei–Pariya Road Intensifies in Adamawa

Construction work on the 18-kilometre Girei–Pariya Road has intensified, underscoring the commitment of the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri–led administration to opening up rural communities and improving infrastructure across Adamawa State.

The road project, which links Girei to Pariya and adjoining communities, is part of the state government’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity, ease the movement of people and goods, and stimulate socio-economic activities. When completed, the road is expected to significantly reduce travel time, improve access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities, and boost agricultural and commercial activities in the area.

Residents have expressed optimism that the project will bring lasting economic benefits, improve security through better access, and enhance the overall quality of life for communities along the corridor.

The Fintiri administration has continued to prioritize road construction and rehabilitation across the state as a key pillar of its development agenda, with several projects ongoing in both urban and rural areas to ensure inclusive growth and sustainable development.
