The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido has said constructive criticism is healthy for democracy as it engenders development and gives the people a sense of belonging.
The chairman who spoke during an inter-party interactive session which was held at the council secretariat yesterday said there was room for criticism in a political system.
He stated that the reason for holding such meeting with different party chairmen and women within the FCT was to solicit for support from them to achieve greatness for the FCT and the country at large.
He said the job of developing the FCT was not only that of the All Progressive Congress (APC) but of every political party, stressing that the APC was not an exclusive political party but a platform for the masses to realize their developmental goals.
He added that dialogue was important in addressing issues faced by his office hence the interactive session.
