Popular content creator Bello Alliy Adetola, widely known as Ocean Vibes, has shared an inspiring message with aspiring creatives, urging them not to overthink their decision to enter content creation but to start and grow through the process.
Speaking on his journey, Ocean Vibes advised upcoming creators to embrace learning on the job rather than waiting for perfection.
“I’d say just start. Don’t overthink it or wait for everything to be perfect but learn as you go. Be consistent, stay true to your style, and focus on what makes you different. It takes time, but if you’re passionate and genuine, people will connect with your content. Most importantly, enjoy the process and keep improving,” he said.
Reflecting on his accomplishments and future ambitions, the creator revealed that he envisions significant growth in the years ahead, both as a storyteller and a brand.
“In the next five to ten years, I see myself growing even more as a creator and storyteller. I want to build a strong brand that goes beyond social media, producing shows, collaborating with global brands, and creating content that inspires people worldwide. I also want to use my platform to support other young creators and show that passion can truly be turned into something meaningful,” he added.
Ocean Vibes’ message highlights the importance of authenticity, consistency and perseverance in today’s fast-evolving digital space, serving as motivation for young Nigerians seeking to build sustainable careers in content creation.
Ocean Vibes and his partner have grown a loyal following across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, gaining attention for their unscripted, humorous and relatable couple moments which is a far cry from the over-filtered trend-driven social media norm.
With social media now at the centre of entertainment, marketing and youth influence in Nigeria, creators like Ocean Vibes say the era of gatekeepers is fading, and digital creativity is now the new economy powered by visibility, relatability and originality.
