Daily Trust observed that Triacta Construction has already gone kilometers in earth work after the contract was awarded by Nasarawa State government in the first week of October.
The road stretches 29 kilometres, covering two local government areas of Obi, and Doma.
 Sonny Agassi, state commissioner of Lands and Urban Development who hails from the area told Daily Trust, “Our people, the Koro tribe have not had it this good. A road constructed in 1977 around the area has been a reference point among our people. But this one is going to beat that by far.”
A federal government project in 1977 saw the construction of Lafia-Obi-Awe federal highway over 30 years ago.
“This road is key to the economic wellbeing of our people. It will create access to thousands of farmers, to market their farm produce across the state.
“We’re pleased that the local people are happy; they have demonstrated this by willingly pulling down their roofs to allow land for the construction of the road.
“We’re even pleased that the contractors are living up to the governor’s expectation for speedy delivery of the job,” Agassi said.
