Reopening the issue yesterday, Borno-based Pastor Kallamu Musa-Dikwa alleged that the money given to pastors was N7billion and not N6billion as earlier alleged by Amaechi.
Musa-Dikwa, who is the Executive Director of the Voice of Northern Christian Movement, said: “Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) leadership got the N7bn on January 26, 2015 and disbursed N3m to each State Chairmen of the CAN across the country.”
However, CAN’s Director of National Issues, Elder Sunday Oibe, when contacted, said it is mere allegation. “In law, they say, he who alleges must prove, it is left for those who alleged to prove their allegations and name the Pastors that were given money,” he said.
Also, the Secretary of CAN in Kaduna, Reverend Sunday Ibrahim said, “This is state CAN and I don’t know whether money was given to anybody, but whoever can prove this should come out and do so. I don’t know anything about this issue.”
Meanwhile,  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State said it is saddened by the allegation of N6 billion bribe leveled against Ministers of God by Amaechi.
The PDP in a statement signed by Jerry Needam, Special Adviser on Media to the State Party Chairman, Felix Obuah, said there was no other reason for the baseless and malicious allegation than to drag the name of Christianity to the mud.
