A member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN),  Engr.  Frederick Nosakhare Ogbeide, has bagged Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of his achievements,  from International Centre for Comparative Leadership for Africans & Black’s in Diaspora in collaboration with Accolade Communications Limited.
Presenting the award,  the Editor-in-Chief of Accolade Communications Limited, Dr Luke Okojie, said the award recipients were carefully selected due to their immense contributions and selfless sacrifice towards the growth and development of the country
According to him, the organisation’s standard for selecting icons have assisted various international organisations and federal government in selecting personalities for national honours and other befitting commendations.
Receiving the award in Abuja recently, Ogbeide,  said commitment, consistency, transparency and nag  for professionalism gave him the award.
Ogbeide, a deputy director in Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), advised civil servants to be committed in their work.
Ogbeide appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to consider the review of salary structures for engineers in the public service, saying that there was a need to amend COREN Act to empower the professional body in the  discharge of their duties.
About 40 people were given different awards, including the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya, and Dame Pauline Tallen.
