The batch (B) corps members in the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Community Development Service (CDS) club with Gwagwalada unit command, yesterday, commissioned a bus stop they built in the area.

Leader of the FRSC CDS club, Chiemela Solomon, said the bus stop was built to impact on the lives of the people where they are serving.

He said the group, after several meetings, decided to build the facility opposite Kotongora Estate along Market road, to enable passengers have a specified place to board vehicles.

He said the group was able to raise funds through friends and relatives as well as philanthropists to execute the project.

Also speaking, the Gwagwalada zonal inspector of the NYSC, Pastor Elisha Zira, who represented the FCT coordinator, said he was impressed with the corps members for their foresight to embark on such project.

He noted that the bus stop would impact meaningfully to the lives of residents of the council, especially at the peak of the rainy season when some passengers would easily get a shelter before boarding vehicles.

On his part, the Gwagwalada unit commander of the FRSC, ACC Sunday O. Attah, commended the group for the project and urged them to keep on with the good work wherever they found themselves.
