Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has cautioned the 1,371 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who have been deployed to the state to be security vigilant. 

The caution comes in light of recent incidents, including the killing of a serving corps member and the theft of her smartphone in the Barnawa community.

The warning was delivered on behalf of the governor by Hajiya Rabi Salisu, the State Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, who assured the corps members of their safety within the state. 

She urged them to promptly report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

Governor Uba Sani also expressed that the corps members would have a fulfilling experience during their stay in the camp and throughout their assignments.

Before this, Mr. Hassan Mahmud Taura, the NYSC Coordinator in Kaduna, outlined the orientation course as the first of the four fundamental programs of the NYSC scheme. He stressed the importance of participating in all camp activities, including military drills, skill acquisition, entrepreneurship development training, language studies, leadership, martial arts training, and lectures on national topical issues.
