The Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) has unveiled a whistle blowing programme to assist anti-corruption agencies in the fight against grafts.

CIFCFIN’s 2nd Deputy President, Prof. Suleiman Aruwa, revealed this during the institute’s 4th direct graduation ceremony, induction and award of Fellowship at EFCC Academy, Abuja.

The institute, according to a statement issued yesterday, said it is packaging a professional whistle-blowing programme to enable its members become professional whistle-blowers and leave the rest to those in the anti-corruption agencies and law enforcement agencies in Nigeria to do their job.

Also speaking, CIFCFIN’s Chairman, Professional Training and Standards, Prof. Michael Ayeni, advised government at various levels and captains of industry to establish forensic accounting departments with an unfettered right to report directly to the Governing Board or Board of Directors as the case may be.

Earlier in his speech, President, Governing Council of the Institute, Dr Iliyasu Gashinbaki, said the Institute is ready to work with the government at all levels to ensure a holistic forensic review of palliatives as well as cash distribution to the poorest of the poor.
