Mr. Eloyi made the allegation in a paper he presented at the Seminar that heralded the just concluded 2014 National Agricultural Show at Tudun Wada in Nasarawa State.
The challenge, which he said is hindering agricultural development in the country, must be urgently addressed by the government to ensure sanity in the system.
According to him, “corruption in farm inputs distribution still remains an obstacle to agricultural development and youth involvement in farming and it must be quickly addressed by the government.”   
But in a swift reaction to his allegation, the North-Central Regional Director of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Engineer Sunday Edibo, who attended the seminar, said that the problem of corruption in inputs distribution has since been solved through the Growth Enhancement Support Scheme (GES).
Engineer Edibo also maintained that the Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA), which targets creating 3.5 million jobs for women, youths and others in four years, has already achieved 75% of its target.
