They will represent Nigeria at the BMW World Technicians’ Competition which holds later this year.

At the Awards Ceremony held at the weekend in Lagos, BMW Technical Trainer, Samuel Ebegbetale explained that the Awards were initiated as a morale boosting strategy and the overall objective is to prepare the Technicians for the Regional Service Competition.

According to him, the essence of the awards was to select the best two Technicians from the company’s nationwide network to represent it at the world competition which holds at the BMW Welt, Munich, Germany.

‘’The Award would now be an annual event especially at the company’s level given the level of competency it has generated among Technicians and the consequent improvement in aftersales customer delivery which will help in improving their technical skills to meet up with the technical challenges in the premium brand.

He said the Technicians Awards is the beginning of the good things to come to the company and its staff.

Also speaking at the event, the Group General Manager, Aftersales, Mr Douglas Patterson, commended the top three winners and promised to ensure that the BMW technicians among others are continuously given all requisite support by Management towards adequate and professional discharge of their duties.
