The rally organized by Hemenga Grand Prix in conjunction with Total Nigeria Plc, will take place at the Lekki Beach on December 4, 2010. It is geared towards projecting the ruggedness, luxury and style of some of the Sports Utility Vehicles on the stable of the company.
The rally is expected to showcase 24 Sport Utility Vehicles in all. Coscharis Motors, authorized distributors of BMW, Land Rover, Ford, Jaguar, MG, Joylong, Yuejin and Wuling brands in Nigeria offer top-of-the range 4×4 vehicles, which are mostly known for their luxury and premium features and intend utilizing the motor rally as an avenue to showcase the ruggedness and off terrain response capacity of these brands.
According to the organizers of the event, a three kilometer circuit will be created in Lekki Beach where participating SUVs will race one on one against time. But the main objective of the rally is to test the ruggedness of these SUVs.
