Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has begun a “thank-you” tour of the territory’s six area councils following the outcome of the Feb. 21 elections.
The tour, which began in the Bwari Area Council on Tuesday, is intended to thank residents for fulfilling their promises to support President Bola Tinubu’s candidates in the election.
“So, on behalf of Mr. President, let me thank you all for fulfilling the promise you made—that you would support the candidates who are supporting him,” Wike said.
“Mr. President asked me to thank you and to say that he is not going to take this show of love for granted. He will fulfill his own part, and that will be done through me. Some people don’t understand when we say ‘agreement.’ What is an agreement? When we agree on something, you do your part, and I do mine. That means we have fulfilled the agreement,” he added. (NAN)
