Count me out of NFF politics, says Babangida

The former Ajax of Amsterdam player added that all he wants to see is for Nigeria’s football to move forward not to be involved in the controversies
In a monitored interview on WE FM, Babangida said  “please count me out of all the problems going on I’m only here because I want Nigeria’s football to put all the mess behind it and move forward not for the politics side of things” The FC Taraba Chairman  said.
It will be recalled that on Monday, the Chris Giwa-led faction of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) last night issued a communiqué claiming to have suspended the League Management Company (LMC) for calling off last weekend’s Premier League matches after the Nigerian Referees Association (NRA) withdrew its members from games due to the unresolved crisis in the Nigerian federation.
This led Giwa to appoint a six-man committee set up to run the affairs of the league till the end of the season.
Those tasked with running the league include; Mr. Fatai Olaniyan, Chief Rumson Baribote, Chief Okey Ibe, Mr. Isaac Danladi, Mr. Tijjani Babangida and Mr. Babangida Little. Tunji Babalola is to act as secretary to the committee.
